What We Believe - Our Statement of Faith

1. There is one God, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscient and eternally existing in three Persons: The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit - the Creator of the universe and mankind.

2. The Bible is the inspired, infallible and authoritative Word of God.

3. Man was created in the likeness and image of God, but as a result of sin is lost.

4. The only hope for us is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, the virgin-born Son of God, who died to take upon Himself the punishment of our sins, rose again from the dead, ascended into heaven so that by receiving Him as Saviour, we are redeemed by His blood.

5. The Lord Jesus Christ will return in person to earth in power and glory.

6. The Holy Spirit indwells those who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour, so as to enable them to live godly lives.

7. The Church, composed of all who believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, is commissioned to teach and to preach the Gospel to all nations.

Our Creed

I. I believe there is one true God, Creator of all.

"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." Genesis 1:1

II. I believe God created man in His image to glorify Him, but as a result of Adam's fall, all men are separated from God by sin.

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them." Genesis 1:27
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" Romans 5:12

III. I believe Jesus is God in the flesh, virgin-born and without sin, who was crucified for our sins, buried and rose the third day.

"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23
"For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" 1 Corinthians 15:3 - 4

IV. I believe Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation, and through His substitutionary atonement, we who believe obtain forgiveness of sin and eternal life with God.

"For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him." 2 Corinthians 5:21
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

V. I believe the Holy Spirit is God who indwells us who believe, enabling us to live for Christ.

"But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." John 14:26

VI. I believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God which is without error.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:" 2 Timothy 3:16

VII. I believe the Church of Jesus Christ is commissioned to preach the gospel and make disciples, looking forward to His return.

"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19 - 20
"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." Revelation 22:20
